The L. Family : Portait Photography

There are families everywhere.  Families all around us.  We're used to families, so used to them that I think sometimes we forget the wonder of them.  We forget that a mom and a dad and a little one means love happened and birthed life.  We forget that parents and teens laughing around a campfire means war was waged and victory was had.

This family is a family with battle glory.  It's that little baby girl, she's got a pretty incredible story.  She almost didn't make it into this world but there where people praying and now she's here and her family, her Mama most of all, knows it's a miracle.

We literally took  about fifteen minutes after our local Walk for Life to capture some of this lovlieness.  I'm glad we did. They're one of those families that you meet and you instantly fall in love with.  They're so genuine, so beautiful, so real.  They're a witness to God's goodness and grace.

This little girl is pretty special. :)

I'm so glad to have met you all!! You truly are a blessing!

Life and Food Photography

We create art and capture beauty.

For us it's a matter of where we focus.

What do we see and how can we see it differently?  See for beauty and not for mundane.

It's the challenge of stepping back to see life from a new perspective.

Walk For Life : Event Photography Preview

Hey ya'll.  This morning I was privileged to photograph our local pregnancy center's annual Walk for Life.  As we remembered the aborted, people of every age gathered to leave footprints for those who could not.

Golfing : Event Photography

Recently, we (my family minus my older brother, who was working) went mini golfing.  Golfing is not something we're good at but doing things we're not good at and still having fun . . . well, I think it must be a gift of ours. :)

Mom was the score keeper.  I was the photographer.  The rest of them whacked at the ball, fist bumped when they made a hole, laughed at the poor plays, and put one more mini golf game down on the record.

I told you, we're not good at this :)

Nope, they're not twins, just brothers. :)

My Dream

Note: It appears I took some what of a sabbatical from the blogging world. :)  It wasn't intended but now that I'm back I do hope to have some good things for you!  Maybe you could help me out by letting me know in the comment section what kind of posts you would like to see more of.  Do you like portrait sessionsDo you like nature shotsDo you like more personal posts?  On a different note, this post was supposed to be up on the blog two weeks ago  . . . but I'm posting it now anyways. :)

Yesterday was National Dream Day.

Children dream wild crazy dreams.  Dreams of flying to the moon for breakfast, sleeping on a cloud for nap time, and eating dinner with a princess in a castle.  Young people dream about going to college, graduating top of their class, changing the world with their newly acquired knowledge, meeting someone amazing and then changing the world with them.  Adults dream, the elderly dream, everybody dreams; mechanics, politicians, moms, entrepreneurs,  . . . everybody hopes for something.

Today I'm dreaming about photography.  These are  my top six photography dreams.

1. Interning with this girl

2. Owning a 50mm prime lens

3. Owning an 85mm prime lens

4. Upgrading my camera

5. Second shooting a wedding

6. Traveling with my camera over seas (perhaps this is more of a dream to travel, but ya know:)

These are six of my photography dreams, what's one of your dreams?
